In her former life as a securities operations manager at J.P. Morgan, Brooke excelled at recognizing the diverse personalities and fulfilling the unique needs of her team. As a result she was able to make the most of every assignment, and her career advanced rapidly; the only problem being that securities operations was a very poor outlet for her incredible creativity and immense sense of style. At the encouragement of her supporters, Brooke pursued an internship position with a local Atlanta interior designer, where she discovered her personal and professional mission: to create a sanctuary and retreat for every client to retire after a hard days work. Brooke’s combined personal and creative skills have served to establish Brooke Merrill Home as a recognized name and valued member of the Atlanta design community. From the many beautiful homes of her ecstatic clients to her selection as the Design Chair for the 2010 Atlanta Symphony Associate's Decorators' Show House and Gardens, Brooke is leaving her mark throughout Atlanta and beyond.

Tara McKenna-Deutscher
Designer

When Tara McKenna Deutscher moved to New York City 2003, she quickly decided to pursue one of her lifelong passions: Interior Design. Already successful in Public Relations and Sales, Tara enrolled at the well-respected New York School of Interior Design to cultivate her love for creativity and style. Since recently moving to Atlanta with her husband and two young boys, she has been putting her talents to use at Brooke Merrill Home. With a sharp eye for Contemporary Design, attention to detail, and her ability to simplify overly decorated spaces, she is our "go-to" gal for the client who wants a sleek look with clean lines and punches of fun color. Patsi Brantley
Business Manager

Patsi was drafted out of retirement in 2007 when business for Brooke Merrill Home began to explode. In 2003 after a twenty-five year career working for Exxon Shipping, Patsi retired to Blue Ridge, Georgia to fullfill a lifelong dream of clean mountain living. When her daughter, Brooke, came calling, Patsi couldn’t resist the opportunity to become an integral part of Brooke Merrill Home. The skills Patsi established managing staffing for the massive Exxon tanker fleet help make Brooke Merrill Home as successful as it is. Whether managing Project Schedules, coordinating with customers, or overseeing the day to day operations of Brooke Merrill Home, Patsi is always focused on creating the ultimate experience for our clients.

 

 

Edward Brantley
Merchandise Logistics

Ed stepped out of retirement alongside Patsi and has become a critical component of Brooke Merrill Home. Trained as a programmer, Ed spent over twenty-five years working in the oil industry; his last decade as an IT purchasing manager. Ed’s purchasing experience makes him uniquely qualified to handle the complicated merchandise logistics associated with coordinating a major renovation or interior design effort.

Everyone always asks about the dog, and we are glad they do. Reese has been a member of the Merrill family since 1999, and a regular occupant of the Brooke Merrill Home offices since its inception. As far as interior design goes, it can be a pretty uppity industry, but we feel that Reese portrays our commitment to meeting the needs of our clients by focusing on their personal style rather than forcing our taste upon them. Whether a Bachelor, Dog Lover, Parent, or Retiree, Brooke Merrill Home will always maintain a focus on your lifestyle when guiding you through the Brooke Merrill Home design process.
